Community Guidelines

Protecting the well being of our users is of utmost importance and is our top priority. Our Platform moderators have been given strict guidelines to ensure that moderation is of key focus.

Unecto is a platform which focuses on allowing for students to have a community and feel free to speak.

Hate Speech

Any form of negativity/hate speech is not tolerated on the platform and is prohibited.

Every user is to be respected irrespective of their opinion, race, culture, background, age, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation or body type.

Misinformation

Users are strictly prohibited from disseminating intentionally deceptive or false information within the community.

Eliminate content that can be definitively proven to be inaccurate. Nonetheless, any assertion pertaining to the transgression of the law by an individual or group shall be subject to removal unless its veracity can be conclusively established.

It should be noted that any adverse assertions directed at an identifiable student will invariably result in removal, as they constitute instances of bullying or the disclosure of personal information.

Users are strictly prohibited from engaging in any form of impersonation of fellow students within the university community

Spam

Engaging in spamming activities is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove content that is devoid of relevance, originality, or any meaningful contribution to the community.

Illegal Activity and Unlawful Behaviour

Conversations around drugs and alcohol is allowed. It is imperative to highlight that the buying or selling of any controlled substances is strictly forbidden within our community.

Content that promotes or incites others to engage in unlawful or detrimental activities is strictly prohibited.

Mental Health and Self Harm

We do permit constructive discussions about mental health; however, we have a strict policy against any content that could be interpreted as endorsing, glorifying, or trivializing self-harm.
